My hubby is gainfully employed again after nearly nine months.   What a huge blessing that has been to our family.   In addition,  we had a busy holiday season and have already welcomed two new clients into our extended family of furry friends.   A good year indeed.

Here’s a pic of our newest client … a 4-mth old bulldog.  Adorable!

Before you give into the temptation of saving money, please consider these real life ‘what if’ scenarios:

• What if your outside dog escapes from his fenced in backyard and can’t get back in to his food & water?

• What if your outside dog gorges himself on the multi-day food you leave and knocks over his water dish?

• What if your doggie door malfunctions and your indoor/outdoor dog or cat is trapped so that he can’t get outside to take care of his business OR can’t get back inside to her food and water?

• What if your dog’s collar gets stuck on something and he can’t get free?  Think of that mess.

• What if your cat gets stuck somewhere.  Literally.  As in stuck in the crinolin of a formal dress, effectively cutting off circulation the more she struggles to free herself?  Or stuck in the attic b/c she snuck up there unbeknownst to you while you were pulling down luggage for your trip?

• What if your pet has a medical emergency?

• What if someone breaks into your house and leaves a back  door open allowing your animals to “escape” outside?

Please, if you won’t spend a few bucks to hire a professional petsitter, then arrange for a family member, neighbor or friend to check in on your pets every 24 hours, at least.  Don’t leave your pets to fend for themselves; they count on you to feed, shelter and protect them.

So we spent some extra time during a scheduled visit to goof off with some of our fave furry faces.  These two pups (and their feline brothers) have been clients of ours since 2006 so it is fitting that they get a place of honor alongside us in a new profile picture.   And yes, these are the same dogs that were featured in our former profile picture.

My hubby, who always manages to remain the faceless silent partner, was the photographer.   I think he did a great job, don’t you?
